The cows grazing at Täschalp produce milk that is made into cheese on the spot. Nature lovers admire the variety of grasses, lichens and alpine flowers. As the path proceeds, it reveals ever more dramatic views. Up at the Täsch hut, hikers meet mountaineers who have set their sights high: on the Alphubel, Täschhorn and other 4,000-metre peaks.
The route from the Täschalp to Tufteren is one of the most beautiful hikes, high above the Matter valley. This section of the Europaweg has stunning views, running along the edge of the forest. After a 20-minute walk from the Täschalp, you’re rewarded with a view of the Matterhorn and the most fantastic panorama.

The opening of the world’s highest 3S cableway to the Matterhorn glacier paradise in autumn 2018 was just the first step in the realization of a much more far-reaching vision: the creation of a continuous cableway connection between Zermatt and Italy – the so-called “Alpine Crossing”. The first visitors should be able to make the highest crossing of the Alps in spring 2021 – and the Matterhorn will not be lost of sight. We are curious!

In the 2018/2019 winter season, the "Skigebiete-Test" (Ski Resorts Test) selects once again the ten best ski resorts in the world. The experts have examined over 250 ski resorts and tested them in ten categories. We are very proud of the result: Zermatt wins the title!
