The Zermatt – Matterhorn ski area just keeps growing. From Saturday 1 December 207 kilometers of the best-prepared pistes are accessible. Put on your skis and take off: In the Matterhorn ski paradise, 207 kilometers of pistes are waiting for you.

Zermatt voted best Swiss ski resort 2018

The Zermatt ski region has been awarded first place nationally and second place internationally in the poll for "Best Ski Resort 2018". 46,000 winter sports enthusiasts were surveyed over winter 2017/18 in 55 ski regions across five countries, making the "Best Ski Resort" the largest customer satisfaction study in the Alps. Zermatt achieved category wins with regard to safety on the slopes, ambience, comfort, exclusivity and authenticity.

The world’s highest 3S cableway is officially inaugurated

After around two-and-a-half years’ construction work, the "Matterhorn glacier ride" – the world’s highest 3S cableway – has finally opened as planned, and Zermatt has gained a new attraction. From the beginning of the 2018/19 winter season, passengers will be able to use the new cableway to reach the Klein Matterhorn.
